Green fabric cover shows substantial wear, with two corners showing the boards and wear at the head and tail of the spine. The fabric is also splitting along the lower rear edge of the spine (see photo #4). The front cover has gilt print and an embossed profile of Sir Richard. The print on the spine has lost all the gilt. The deckle-edged pages are clean, tight and unmarked, and the endpapers are intact. Hâjî Abdû El-Yezdî is a pseudonym for Sir Richard Francis Burton, the true author. His poem runs 60 pages and his accompanying notes run almost 70 more. The poem and notes were originally published in 1880. This is a rather rare volume.

As it says inside, "This book has been rated Terribly Silly". From the author who gave us Captain Underpants, would you expect anything else? Minor wear, nothing really significant.

The price clipped dust jacket has taken the brunt of the wear, with numerous tears and little missing pieces. Pages are clean, tight and unmarked. Contains a dozen of Mansfield's best short stories, selected by her husband, with an introduction by Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings (author of eight novels, including The Yearling). Illustrated by Leon Jacobson. A part of the Living Library series. Rather rare.

The first Department Q novel (there are eight now). Follow Carl Mørck and his little team of misfits as they solve the crimes no one else are even looking at. This book has very little wear, just some very minor chipping around the edges. Trade paperback. Little wear. Pages are clean and tight, and the spine lacks creases.

Green fabric covered boards with gilt print on front and spine. Not bad wear for 115 years. This is a full year compilation of this magazine from 1908. There is a hinge break after the front endpaper. If there were any pages preceding the front page of the January issue, those are missing, but that is all. All 12 months seem to be intact, and the remainder of the binding seems quite solid. Owner's name on the front endpaper along with a couple of undated clippings, one being an obituary of Jack London written by Upton Sinclair. This is a very rare book, one that will ship at about four pounds. Excess shipping costs are included in the list price.

There must be some kind of wear, but I can't find it. The book has dark green fabric covered boards, with a photograph and embossed title and series on the front, the title in gilt. Additional gilt on the spine. Pages are clean, tight and unmarked, with decorative endpapers and a ribbon bookmark, still tucked where the manufacturer placed it. The dust jacket is also free of wear other than a slight flair to the front lower edge near the center. Section of photographs in the center. Stated first edition. Black leatherette cover shows some wear at the lower corners and the top and bottom of the spine. Gilt print on front, a few stains on the rear. Owner's name inside the front cover. No other marks have been found. Pages are clean and tight. After about 63 pages of instruction on translation techniques, over half the book is given over to readings where one could practice translation. Ends with 28 pages of indices. A fairly rare book. This book will ship at nearly three pounds. Excess shipping costs are included in the list price.

Set in North Africa during the Nazi occupation, two people are forced to stand in the way of the Germans acquiring a weapon of immense power. A page turner, for sure. Pages tight, clean. A few minor spine creases from being read. One little stain on the upper front cover (can you see it in the photo?). Generally in very nice condition. 341 pages.

First edition, 8th printing. Spiral bound. Thirty recipes with kids' palates in mind. Virtually no signs of wear, like new.

Red fabric covered boards with black and yellow decoration on the front and spine and gilt print on the spine. A small smudge of something on the front, possibly paint. Wear at the corners and head and tail of the spine, fairly mild for the book's age. Pages are clean and yellowed. Stitching is still solid, but a split is forming in the front endpaper and has fully formed at the penultimate page (see photos 4 and 5). No date, but research into the publisher has led me to the conclusion that this was published about 1897. A somewhat rare edition.

Spine has one crease and remains almost square. Pages are tight, clean and unmarked. A number 5 in sharpie on the top page edges. A rare and very hightly valued book. The fifth in a series of seven. For mature audiences.

Stanley is a pen name of Ellery Adams. North Carolina's most obnoxious collector dies, and everyone but Molly Appleby, writer for Collector's Weekly, wants to call it an accident. But Molly cries "murder".
