A bit of a curiosity - this novel about a woman who by chance became the subject of a portrait by the artist Thomas Gainsborough, and her attempts to cope in somewhat of a My Fair Lady setting, apparently. Later printing, good for it's age (albeit with browned pages), with a jacket that is intact but rather chipped at the top of the front panel and the head of the spine. Includes a couple of photos of Paulette Goddard from the film.

Near Fine in a like jacket. Book has slight lean to binding, cover has a touch of shelf wear and a tiny nick on the spine.
