Nortex Press, 1991-01-01. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. Signed. Inscribed (to a high school classmate?) and SIGNED by Jack Maguire on the title page. The volume has a bit of edge rubbing and the spine is lightly canted. The price clipped dust jacket, sleeved in mylar, has a shallow chip, some closed tears and some wrinkling (each with a thin piece of reinforcing tape on the verso of the jacket). The jacket, with the author's last name misspelled as Maquire still presents well. This is an oversized book. Priority and international mailings will require additional postage.

The volume is bumped at the spine ends, lightly sunned along the top edges, and the spine is a bit faded. The interior is in excellent condition with just gentle toning to the pages. The dust jacket is clipped on all corners *(price of $2.00 is present), edge rubbed with corner and spine nicks, and there is a 1/4" closed tear on the top of the front panel. The jacket, sleeve in mylar, is wrapped a bit off center.

John P. Jewett & Co. Cleveland, Ohio, 1853. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good-. Signed. Tipped in, mounted to a larger piece of paper, is a slip of paper (5" x 1 1/4") SIGNED by H. B. Stowe (someone has penned the author's name underneath the signature). Original green cloth, with blindstamped borders and title on both front and reasr panels, and gilt lettering and decoration on the spine. The cloth is rubbed, boards exposed at the corners, and the spine ends are frayed with short tears. The pages have some waviness (not from any moisture, but rather from the thin quality of paper used), and there is the occasional soiling. Even with the the wear to the cloth this is a near very good copy of Harriet Beecher Stowe's defense against the attacks and criticism of her work, Uncle Tom's Cabin.

The volume is gently pushed on the spine ends and there is a touch of sunning along the top edge. The unclipped dust jacket, sleeved in mylar, has a sunned spine and water stains along the length of the rear fold and the top of the front fold.

Holographic design and poem, initialed by Robert Kelly is tipped in between the copyright and dedication pages. Quarter patterned cloth over two toned paper covered boards. The volume, protected in clear plastic, is lightly skewed and canted, and is overopened at the contents page.

Inscribed and SIGNED by Michael Shaara on a non-publisher's tipped in page. The spine ends are lightly bumped and the signed leaf is light to mildly darker hue than the rest of the text leaves. The unclipped dust jacket, protected in a sleeve, has edge wear to include tiny nicks and two short closed tears (1/8" & 3/16"). The jacket front panel has 3 spots (abrasions?) about 1/16" in diameter.

The volume is housed in a very good+ slipcase, which has some bubbling and very light soiling.

It is housesd in a near fine slipcase which has a small area of light discoloration (removal of a sticker) on the rear panel.
