First edition. A wonderful mechanical edition of the beloved tale of Jack and the Beanstalk by Julian Wehr, the "American Master of Animated Books." The inventor and patent holder for a number of now commonly used mechanical techniques, Wehr's groundbreaking craftsmanship brings this tale to life.

First edition. A collection of humorous stories about a group of anthropomorphic animals who find themselves in delightfully strange situations. The charming illustration of Keith Ward (best known as a commercial illustrator who created Borden's Elsie the Cow as well as the 1940 editions of Dick and Jane) are reminiscent of the work of Harrison Cady and capture the brightness and levity of these amusing tales.

First Gorey-illustrated edition. Lear's nonsense poem, The Jumblies, had just a single illustration when first published, but Gorey, having loved the poem since childhood, decided to fully illustration the poem – and dedicated his illustrations to Foss, Mr. Lear's beloved cat. In this endearing tale, the always happy Jumblies decide to set sail over rough seas in a sieve, and so they go, despite the concerns from their kin who elect to stay home.
