A-B-S / Liberty Dist. / Pearlite, 1950s. Very Good. Three vintage adult digest magazines featuring pinup model Jackie Miller, seen here in photographic studies wearing heels, hose, garters, elegant gloves, jewelry, studio sessions, several nearly nude poses. Miller was an East Coast native born early 1930s, lanky redhead w/ lush dimensions, appeared throughout the magazine market of the mid 1950s, would eventually do some noteworthy photo sessions w/ the Klaw siblings, often posing as a dominatrix in leather w/ whip. Many were published as photography and/or art "studies" booklets, w/ technical camera data, exposure chart, & the standard emphasis on sexual liberation; early issues featured several models per issue & many maintain airbrushing techniques rolled over from nudist magazines, much of the posing naturally obscures otherwise censored areas. ... N.p., Circa 1940s. Very Good. Vintage non-nude B/W photograph of Joyce Linton, that name being in pencil on the verso, revealing her slender legs in a long grass skirt, posing w/ hand gracefully upward, a few exotic flowers in her raven hair. Smiling in a white bikini top. Linton was probably a showgirl, or may even had a brief period of performing burlesque or strip tease, but no biographical source could be readily obtained. No photographer credit present. One can just hear the tropic rhythms, heavy hand-drumming, Latin music often provided w/ strip routines at the time. The two pillars speak more to Joyce having been a showgirl or even B-movie actress, the pillars themselves recalling the work of photographer Murray Korman of New York. 7.5 x 9.5 inches, double-weight, semi-gloss recto silver gelatin. Corners clipped at some point. Very Good, light soil & toning.
