Description:
New York: The John Cage Trust, 2001. Cover Photo by Donald Deitz. 52 pp. Pictorial softcover. Fine. In addition to the title characters, the cast of characters also includes Thorstein Veblen, Henry David Thoreau, Buckminster Fuller, and Brigham Young. Cage’s work, originally a radio play from 1982, takes “dialogue comprised of literal quotations, freely adapted historical materials, and lines Cage has simply made up. What is modern is surely collage, Cage once said” (quoted in Director’s Statement). Uncommon.
