London: Chatto & Windus, 1903. Hard Cover. Very Good+ binding. Orrock was one of the significant 19th century Scots collectors of art; himself an artist, he did much to promote the work of Turner, and of British art in general. His reputation has been diminished by the revelation after his death that some of the paintings in his collection were in fact forgeries. sThis two volume set of heft quartos has some scattered foxing, but still a sumptuous set in cream-cloth stamped with gilt decorations. Previous owner bookplates on the pastedowns. Very Good+ binding.
