New York: Dutton. 1943 1st ed.  SIGNED typed letter by Joe Foss in its original envelope attached to rfep. 160pp. illus. brown cloth 8vo: fair reading copy only/no dj [front hinge is cracked but firm; else a worn but complete copy] This is a copy of historical interest because much of the book has been annotated by hand in ink and with laid in or tipped in typescripts by Georgia NCO Wilbur H. "Bud" Stuckey. Stuckey was a mechanic in flying ace and Medal of Honor recipient Foss' (1915-2003) unit VMF-121 on Guadalcanal in 1942 and, as he indicates in his annotations, an original member of Foss' "Burma Gang" from the time that VMF-121 was formed in June 1941. The letter typed and signed by Joe Foss is a personal note dated April 24, 1968, on the stationery of Joe Foss Aviation, Inc.
