The title references Smith's relationship with film critic Jonas Mekas, whom Smith blamed for creating the controversy over Smith's film "Flaming Creatures," and then profiting from his control of the print. The performance was reviewed by J. Hoberman in the Village Voice for June 12, 1978.

"In the Gallery" was reproduced from her calligraphic manuscript.
