The author flew for Pancho Viilla before flying for the Lafayette Escadrille in World War I. He was an Ace w/8 kills. After the war he worked for the F.B.I., wrote magazine articles, worked for Hollywood, he saw combat in the Pacific in World War II, ending the war as a Rear Admiral. Signed on the t.p. w/a long presentation to his friend and noted aviation author Arch Whitehouse. Whitehouse had been in the RAF in World War I.
