Signed limited edition, number 46 of 100 copies specially bound and signed by the author. Originally published in 1934, when it garnered both the Hawthornden and James Tait Black memorial prizes; this edition was issued in response to the huge success of the BBC television series.

Both volumes spotted to edges and endpapers, otherwise in excellent condition, with the jackets notably bright and free from all but the most minor chips or closed tears to edges, and with few other small abrasions and marks. First edition, first impressions, of Graves's first two historical novels, and very scarce in such nice condition. I, Claudius was the winner of the Hawthornden and James Tait Black memorial prizes, and made into a critically acclaimed BBC television miniseries starring Derek Jacobi in 1976. The first and last draft manuscripts for a published short story, given by Fitzgerald as a gift to his obliging young typist First draft: 20 leaves, various sizes (largest 330 x 214 mm), partly triple-spaced typescript with pencil holograph amendments, completed in pencil manuscript. Second draft: 9 pages (US Letter: 11 x 8.5 ins), double-spaced typescript with pencil holograph amendments. Two original drafts, the first draft and the second and final draft, for Fitzgerald's short story "I Didn't Get Over", written in summer 1936 and published in Esquire magazine that October. The most noticeable differences between the two drafts are at the beginning and end of the piece. A little toned, pin-holes to the top corners, slight creasing top right, oddly letterheads of a selection of 5 East Coast businesses mounted verso, including the Waldorf-Astoria, NY, The American College Dictionary,and Lehigh University Flying Club, very good. Superb, scarce poster from the very outset of Rich's solo career. A musical prodigy on Broadway at two years old with his parents' act Wilson and Rich, he found fame under the sobriquet "Baby Traps the Drum Wonder". Rich was with Tommy Dorsey either side of brief military service, before forming this first band with financial assistance from Frank Sinatra. The band lasted just a couple of years before Rich returned to his role as one of the most in demand, and most demanding, sidemen in the Big Band world.
