A fine & apparently uncirculated copy.
A rather bizarre zine, quite likely a one off, partially written by "Mabel" who is also apparently the compiler. Various contributors offer essays including "Steampunk as seen through the eyes of Olivia Candlelabra," "Visions of St. Gutenberg by Madame Chaos," &, of paricular note, an "Interview with documentary filmmaker Albert Vazquez" conducted by Mabel herself. Vazquez specialized (specializes ?) in short films often related to LGBTQ issues, homelessness, & counterculture.

Poorly printed causing ghosting & portions of text to be light but not illegible, lightly soiled, trace edge wear, otherwise Very Good Ms. Olah's essay, comprising the first 31 pages, takes Engels' Origin of the Family, Private Property, and the State firmly to task, asserting among other things that his theory of capitalism causing private property is in error & that the actual cause is male supremacy. Following the essay, Helen Victry contributes a history of the labrys, a double axe commonly associated with female divinities. Described as a serial in OCLC, with 13 copies located under 2 accession numbers, no further issues appear to have been published.

An exhaustive & profusely illustrated treatise covering bridge design & construction, steel towers, ornament, aesthetics, biographies of engineers, etc.

Original gilt-lettered green cloth, the upper cover with pictorial device in black depicting the Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art of which the author was the founder. Modest fraying at spine extremities, corners bumped & rubbed, lightly soiled, hinges cracked, previous owner's name & date at ffep, otherwise good or better The Cooper Union, which offered free tuition until 2014, was the site of one of Abraham Lincoln's most important speeches in which he spoke against the expansion of slavery into the Western Territories & asserted that the Founding Fathers would agree.

[Milan, Italy]: Arnoldo Montadori Editore, (1974). First edition. 8vo, 201 pages & 16 color plates. Publisher's brown fabricoid lettered in black on the spine in pictorial dust jacket. Text in Italian.
Bottom edges lightly rubbed, small label at rear pastedown, otherwise very good in like dust jacket with brief soiling. "The Book of Sauces" by gastronome & wine critic Luigi Veronelli who was one of the central figures in the appreciation and promotion of Italy's culinary heritage. Veronelli died in 2004.

Publisher's coarse tan linen lettered in black on the upper cover, in pictorial dust jacket. Text in French. Brief wear at spine extremities & corners, previous owner's bookplate at ffep, otherwise Very Good in lightly soiled Very Good dust jacket with modest edge wear including a couple of short tears. Chronicles the life of Toulouse-Lautrec from childhood with family, with friends, in the studio, etc, until his untimely passing just short of his 37th birthday.

Moderately edgeworn (including a small loss at the base of the spine), lightly soiled, upper cover with light stain in the lower corner diminishing through page 5, staples rusted, otherwise Good.Thomas P. Kelly emigrated from Ireland in 1851. He founded the company, which had branches in Chicago & Hamilton, Ohio, in 1885 and provided "Complete Foundry Outfits, Cranes, Cupolas, Ladles, Etc."

Primarily promotes the availability of land "at low prices on liberal terms" & additionally provides train schedules & fares. McCants was born & raised in Ninety Six, South Carolina in 1865. A graduate of The Citadel, he was an educator as well as an author & was inducted posthumously into the South Carolina Academy of Authors in 1996. As noted in a contemporary review (NYT, May 7, 1904), In the Red Hills is:

Grace Edwards-Yearwood, 1933 - 2020, (nee Grace Frederica Smith) was director of the Harlem Writers Guild from 2007 to 2016. In the Shadow of the Peacock is her first book followed by six detective novels all set in Harlem.

Binding slightly sunned, early and late leaves browned in the margins, still near fine . The author was professor and subchairman of the psychology department at the Baruch School of Business.
