This was the only unit to fire on the day Glen Miller went missing. Their target was a small single engined aircraft heading for France which did not respond to their IFF (Identification Friend or Foe) signal. Later that day AFN radio carried the report that Major Miller's aircraft had gone missing over the channel. Wolfe believes it was him, as did his Captain. For some reason a previous owner of this book has decorated the cover and title page with metallic tape and letters.
