Fish is mentioned and thanked in the preface and is described on page 44 as Wells' 'principal comrade' at school where they shared a desk. Portrait frontispiece. A typed signed letter loosely inserted in the original envelope from the author to Mr Fish written on headed note paper from 'Acacia, Dane Bridge Lane, Much Hadham, Herts' and dated October 28th 1930 consisting of about 75 words in which he encloses the book and hopes it will 'call up happy memories' and that the subsequent career of Fish's desk companion will be of interest. A very good copy.
