Description:
VG - VG+. 1963 Popular Library 60-2130, first printing. Softcover. Larry McMurtry's debut novel, published originally under the title 'Horseman Pass By', came to be filmed as 'Hud' because Paul Newman had developed a superstition over character names with the letter "H", after the success of 'The Hustler'. Following 'Hud', Newman insisted his next film change its title to "Harper". I'm amazed he didn't talk his way into 'The Haunting of Hill House'.Nice solid copy with no major issues.
