First edition, quarto; [x], 129pp, complete with 10 plates (including 7 sepia lithographs) and a hadnful of in-text woodcuts. In contemporary green cloth (very lightly worn) with gilt arms to centre of front board and gilt lettering direct to spine. Early ink ownership names to front free endpaper and reverse of frontispiece, binders ticket to rear pastedown, endpapers stained by turn-ins, small light marginal stain to frontispiece well clear of image, a very clean attractive copy of this uncommon history.

Winchcombe: Winchcombe: S. Etheridge, 1810. 1st Edition . Disbound. Good. Quarto, first edition of "Human Life Represented"; 576pp (Drelincourt), 39pp (Human Life Represented). Disbound in remains of early full leather binding, light dampstaining to Drelincourt frontispiece, final two leaves of 'Human Life Represented' and closing endpapers; sporadic browning and wear. This is the "Twenty Sixth" edition of Drelincourt on Death, published by Nuttall, Fisher and Dixon, Liverpool, 1810. Of much greater scarcity is Josiah Hills closing sermon bound in afterwards, of which we have been unable to trace further copies or information.

Very Good. 12mo; iv, [150 hymns, not paginated], viii, [164 hymns], xii, [5]pp. In recent full brown cloth with gilt spine title, new endpapers, original yellow free endpapers bound in (the front free endpaper bearing a contemporary owners inscription), owners inscription and two old ink stamps to first title page, occasional very light spots and browning, overall a clean and attractive copy complete with half title specifying this to be "Sequel to Weyman's Melodia Sacra - Hymns and Anthems - Bass". With bass clef musical notation for every hymn. This edition bears no date but its paper, typeface and inscriptions put it approximately between 1850 and 1860, and certainly no later than 1871.
