This book is edited with notes and Introduction by Bruce Le Roy. Chittenden travelled extensively in the West with reports on trips to Yellowstone, the Pacific Coast, to Wyoming and Colorado, and to Jackson Hole and Idaho in 1896 and 1897. Evetts Haley’s extensive interviews with Goodnight. In 1925, Haley sat down with the then 90-year-old and, using the map above, drew at Goodnight’s direction, the route of the Goodnight Trail from Young County to Fort Sumner. Since 1883 the Hamley family has faithfully delivered quality western craftsmanship to working cowboys, rodeo bronc busters and horse riding enthusiasts of all kinds. In 1905, Hamley & Co found a permanent home in Pendleton, Oregon and set up shop in the same building where it still resides today. Light wear to the folds else a very good copy of an elusive item.
