The navy blue, blind-embossed covers are worn at the extremities and a little age-soiled, but basically sound, as is the binding, which remains tight, save for a little easing at some of the internal signatures. The text and illustrations are mostly clean, though with some marks and flecks of light foxing here and there. The colour plates are all present. 5 of the black and white illustrations have been neatly coloured in, with scarcely a detrimental effect.
