Chester Gould, Original Cartoon Drawing Signed. of B. O. Plenty, one of the recurring characters in the long running Dick Tracy comic strip. Gould rendered B.O. Plenty. in blue ink on a white 4 x 6 inch card. He inscribed above the hat and signed at the shirt collar of his not so savory character, "Chester Gould." Gravel Girty was Plenty's wife. Description:
George Grosz Autograph Letter Signed with original art. The artist turns a friendly letter into a colorful sketch of a watercolor pencil crossed with a paintbrush. Mixing German and English and red, blue, green, and purple, he tells his friend, "you are one of the few people who do not bore me. Everybody just talks stupidly 'intellectual' picked up from their TV commentations...you in any case old boy (hands on the trouser seam) [standing at attention] you old boy, THANKS, also in Eva's name for the lovely (sadly ever scarcer) evening. War OKAY...Not too long. Time is running out...." He signs, "George." Eva refers to Grosz's wife. Below his signature, Grosz draws the brush with purple bristles crossing the watercolor pencil facing the opposite direction. Platt Lynes' Photograph of writer and friend Katherine Anne Porter is  Signed by Porter and dated 1939.  Platt Lynes had become a successful commercial photographer, but In his private life he was accumulating a  fine collection of  photographs of gay men which was donated to the Kinsey Institute after Platt Lynes death in 1955. He has since been recognized for his  portraits  of male nudes. This elegant image of Porter shows her in evening gown seated in profile with a bouquet in lower left foreground. She is posed next to the floral arrangement looking contemplatively towards the right. She signs in a free area of the upper right corner, "For...From Katherine Anne, Sprint 1939."
