This volume shows evidence of water-damage - the cloth covers are a bit mottled with some loss of gilt to the title, which is none-the-less still readable, the text block is wavy with only marginal water marks to the top front section of the first text pages, six plates have the descriptive leaf stuck to the plate, so the actual plate is not visible, the descriptive leafs have been removed from the other plates which has damaged most of the remaining plates; given this water damage, this can be classified as a good-minus reading copy.. Pp. (8), 1-62; + 15 full page plates, mostly halftones and line-drawings, one in color. Publisher's original maroon cloth, boldly lettered in gilt on the front cover, sm 4to (10 1/2 x 7 3/4 inches).
