Rebound by John Sinkankas, with his initials stamped in gilt on the leather, his bookplate on the front pastedowns.

Publisher's black cloth with gilt cover rules, spine and front cover with gilt strapwork, cover with gilt lettering and device, a.e.g. Tips with some wear and small erosion to lower spine cap but a very clean and fresh copy in a very presentable binding.

The Delphian Society was inspired by influential Harvard President, Charles William Eliot's belief that education serves the purpose of inspiring lifelong learning and those who do not receive it [i.e. women] "seem to live in a mental vacuum." A very nice binding."Martin Fierro is a 2,316 line epic poem by the Argentine writer José Hernandez. The poem was originally published in two parts, El Gaucho Martín Fierro (1872) and La Vuelta de Martín Fierro (1879). The poem is, in part, a protest against the modernist tendencies of Argentine president Domingo Faustino Sarmiento. Oklahoma was admitted as the 46th State of the Union in 1907 and included the bulk of Indian Territory. Despite its name, whites comprised more than three quarters of the population of Indian Territory at the turn of the century.
