First edition, number 427 of only 500 copies of this complete collection of seven prints commemorating milestones in aviation, each signed by the pilot. Very rare thus. All prints fresh and attractive, each in a colored metal frame. A stunning set. Each print approximately 16 x 13.5 inches visible (each print is matted, framed, and glazed in frames of various colors). Each print bears the Currier Press embossed stamp. Prints are bright and fine (very minor marginal creasing and a small closed marginal tear to the Wright print, not affecting image). Previously sold by Baumann Books and coming with their descriptive sheet. Also included is the plain brown portfolio that originally housed the prints. Please note that this set is very heavy in the metal frames.

This is number 9 of 12 signed by Brocard Sewell. Available only to subscribers. This copy is in true fine, top edge gilt, all other edges uncut. All leaves also uncut -- an unopened copy on very elegant paper. Brown quarter leather with gilt stamping over a light gray-green cloth (matching the Barcham Green paper), purple silk book marker sewn in. All fine. Gatherings hand-sewn. All fine. No wear to the leather or boards. John Gray was said to be the model for the main character in Oscar Wilde's novel "The Picture of Dorian Gray. The trade edition of this book is scarce and I have never seen a copy of the limited edition of 12. A lovely book.

Not even a speck of foxing, contents bright and beautiful. Exrtra label laid in. Printed in Proctor's handsome Greek type, based on the Alcala font of 1514 (but with the addition of capitals by Proctor) and cut by Edward Prince. Printed on marvelous Kelmscott Primrose paper 15 x 11, flower watermark. 4to, 309pp. A highspot of fine press printing. Pages opened (professionally), so the book can actually be read.
