Visibly rubbed on corners and along spine edges, chip at head of spine, both board faces still look nice. Horizontal gilt title and author on spine. 21 x 25.5 cm; 124 pages (hors-texte illustrations not included in pagination), gilt on top edges with most of the interior in fine condition but a few pages are showing early stages of foxing and the heliogravures have left shadow impressions on the facing pages. Bookplate to verso of front board. Decorative motifs and calligraphy; footnotes; complete print run of 272 numbered copies (this is number 133 sur papier de Hollande).

The other issues more professionally designed pamphlets with two side saddle staples and enhanced graphics.

Nice copy if rebound. 21 x 29 cm.

Embossed gilt boards and spine are fine, barely visible rub mark at head of spine and a small separation gap, top page edges gilted as well; a few faint smudges on page foredge and bottom edge; otherwise as new. Fine interior, still in collectible gift quality. This is volume one of a four volume set. Well illustrated.

Assistance League of Portland, 1972. Spiral. Poor. A nice feature is that each recipe is printed in landscape style with source cited and proposed menu and just one recipe to a page (user friendly). The last chapter (pp.127-75) is called "Celebrity Section" with recipes, facsimile signatures and mini-bios from politicians, actors, etc. This brown plastic comb spiral bound book is in overall fine condition except for a full length vertical crease to the front cover and mild shelf wear. The reason for the "poor" rating is that four chapters plus have been removed and are missing, specifically pages 95-130 (of a total of 175 pages).
