Sacramento, CA, 2008. Portfolio of two selenium-toned silver gelatin prints, "Burga" and "Valentine" signed and numbered by the artist, "3/5 William T. Vollmann" on the hand-written colophon page (also the titlepage) with a brief history of the image in his hand and dated "5/2008" also in his hand. This hand-written sheet is inserted in a paper "pocket" affixed to the inside back of the clamshell box. Each photograph, taken by Mr. Vollmann and printed by him, is 14 x 9-1/2 inches, matted to 20-1/2 x 16 inches. Housed in custom-made buff cloth clamshell box with 2 white paper labels bearing title which is lettered and signed above a painting by Mr. Vollmann on front cover, title and limitation lettered by Mr. Vollmann on spine label on white paper with black ink. Limited to a total of 5 copies, this portfolio contains one image drawn from the author's / artist's image appearing in POOR PEOPLE; the other is previously unpublished.

New York: Vincent FitzGerald & Co, 1997. One of 20 copies, all on Antique JB Green and Japanese Gampi paper, signed and numbered by the artist in pencil on each of the 5 etchings. The names of the subject of each portrait is etched in the plate itself. The authors are: Gertrude Stein, James Joyce, Franz Kafka and Virginia Woolf. The artist is, of course, Matisse. Each etching measures 12-1/4 inches x 17 inches, fine. The etchings were printed by Lothar Osterburg and Vincent FitzGerald. Susan Weil's aesthetic predecessors are portrayed in these blind-drawn etchings created around the same time as BLIND MAN'S BLUFF. She has captured the key element in the features of each.

NP, ND. Five pages hand-written manuscript, each leaf measuring 9" x 7", of a discourse given before the Society of the History of the Revolution. This is a cut-and-paste effort by France, with emendations, cross-outs, etc., showing how carefully he worked and reworked his speech. Each leaf mounted on tabs and bound in 3/4 red morocco by Stroubants, binding worn but manuscript fine. Inserted is a hand-written notation that this manuscript is from the Library of Mrs. Rita Lydis of Washington Square Village, sold at Anderson Galleries in 1920. France, a Nobel Laureate (1921), used his scholarship and knowledge of the French Revolution to create one of the best novels about the Revolution, LES DIEUX ONT SOIFS, published in 1912.

Illustrated by Koren with one original etching, signed and numbered in pencil by the artist and four plates after drawings by Koren done for this book. The etching was pulled by Lynn Rogan of the Printmaking Workshop. The four additional illustrations were printed on Misu paper at The Meriden Gravure Company. The title page calligraphy is by Jerry Kelly. All copies were signed by both Mamet and Koren on the colophon. Bound in orange cloth stamped in frog-green, hand-made endpapers by Gerard Charriere.
