This statement is from the introduction to the book and it is a scholary treatise on the subject that actually is a fascinating read. In addition there is a letter written and signed from the author to a Mr. LeRoy E. Kimball at New York Universitry - dated March 6, 1917. The previous owner noted in pencil on the botom of the letter that the author died in berlin, 8/2/1939. The Recipient, according to the internet, was the author of a piece on James Wilson of Vermont - america's first globe maker. Book is in very good condition although there is a damaged spot on the back cover. The letter is pasted on the inside cover with the bookplate of Kimball. . Signed by Author. Hard Cover. Very Good,. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.

New York: H. L. Lindquist, 1935. This s a signed limited edition of Carl Junge's bookplates. There were 500 autograped copies of which this is no 142. It is also signed by the published as a presentation copy to George Ewing. There is an original Rockwell Kent bookplate designed for George Ewing on the inside front cover. Carl S. Junge was a famous bookplate artist from Chicago. Bookplates of james barrie, woodrow wilson, burton holmes, fannie and carl junge to name only a few are listed. Note that the front cover has some rubbing on the bottom right. I also have another listing of his handwritten diary from 1907 in which he writes of an art course he is taking in Paris. It is number 001679.. Signed by Author and Publisher. 1st Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" Long.
