Volumes admit to a number of small bumps and creases to extremities. Small damaged area to upper fore-edges of volume 2, though this isn't offensive. Light wear and soiling to exterior of each volume, with some discoloration to back cover of volume 1. Overall, a good, clean, sound set. SCARCE

Several small bumps to extremities of volume, with fairly heavy wear spots in several places on covers, such as head of spine, front joint, and corners of boards. Previous owner's name (Rev. Anselm Vitie, O.P.) in ink to front printer's blank and his bookplate to next page. Bookplate was placed into volume sideways. Text clean. Binding sound. Overall, certainly remains a largely attractive copy
