The Kanuga Conference Center is and Episcopal retreat located outside of Hendersonville, North Carolina. It was co-founded by Kirkman George Finlay (1877-1938). Finlay was the first bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Upper South Carolina when it was created in 1922. He did much to create churches and schools for African-Americans in South Carolina in the 1920s-1930s.
