The author, poet Cecilia Havergal, was born in 1849 and married Frederick Bickerton Grant in 1883. After her marriage, she is generally identified as Cecilia Havergal Grant, suggesting that this was published prior to her marriage in 1883. A very scarce Raphel Tuck & Sons publication, with no chromolithographed illustrations. In Very Good- Condition: decorative stitching is torn; wrapper is discolored; interior is clean and bright.
