Description:
The Old Stile Press, 1994. Limited Numbered First Edition. Cloth. Fine. Lloyd, R.J.. An absolutely beautiful Limited Numbered First Edition signed by both the author, the late Ted Hughes, and the illustrator, R. J. Lloyd. In very fine unread condition, the cover cloth and illustrations are printed on handmade papers by Frances McDowall which incorporate iris, nettle, onion, Japanese knotweed, pampas grass and alkanet fibres. The pictures do not do justice to this fine production and quite large book and slipcase which are larger than our scanner, unfortunately. Includes 20 poems including "Barley" and "October Dawn." This edition is limited to 250 copies, this is number 142. British Poet Laureate Ted Hughes passed away in 1998 but his legacy of poetry lives on, many of which are in unique fine press editions such as this one. A lovely copy.
