New York: MacMillan Co., 1902. First Edition. Small quarto, original salmon cloth, gilt lettering and decorative dustjacket. Illustrated with photographs. An early account of the diamond industry in scarce dustjacket. This copy signed by author at front endpaper. Very Good but for several pages with stamp at margin for a monastery in Ireland, 'Leabhariann Lair'. A much nicer copy than usually encountered, cloth greening some, but firmly bound and gilt bright, in Good dustjacket, expected soiling, chipping at top spine area, quarter sized chip at lower rear panel.

Fine externally, Very Good to Near Fine internally, pages agetoned with foxing in some places, markings and edits made in pen at early pages, offsetting on some pages from colored art, minor wear to page edges, some papers with small holes.
