Some creasing and a couple of small tears to edges of unclipped dustwrapper, minor bumping to spine ends and corners of blue boards, the main fault would be that at some point the book has been dropped (or something dropped on it) resulting in a torn hole in the dustwrapper at the spine (at the feet of the diver in the illustration) and a tear to the corresponding part of the spine of the book. Both have been mended but the marks are there if you take a close look. But otherwise a good clean tight copy of this hard-cover book, being the sixth in the author's series of stories about the tugboat "Bulldog" and its crew. A transcript of a diary kept between November 1905 and 1906 by Dorothy Hammonds and Margaret Mowll, two women undergraduates at St Hugh's Hall (now St Hugh's College), Oxford.
