The faults are toning to the top and side edges; and remains of a mark to the half title page. The jacket is protected and the only fault is very slight edge wear to the top of the spine and it is price-clipped. It a nice copy of a desirable dystopia novel.

This is one of twelve signed and lettered copies of The Distant Echo by Scottish novelist Val McDermid. The first first edition was rebound in grey leather with five raised bands, the scorpion logo on the spine and green top edge with patterned marbled sides. It carries an introduction describing Val's long career as a writer, approved and signed by her.
