Cloth and decorations very bright and fresh, no staining, no owner's name. Light wear to extremities, slight fading to spine. A very attractive copy. Includes the extra chapters on "The Serious and Fatal Blows", etc. that were removed from later editions. The photos in this edition seem to be clearer than in the later reprints. As well, this edition is printed on heavier stock. A very desirable copy of this seminal work on judo/jiu-jitsu. Scans available.
