There is some staining to various pages, previous owner's name in pencil on title page. Life of Jesus, in German, with many B&W reproductions of religious artworks. Binding a bit tender, but intact. Very small matching tears to front pastedown and endpaper.

Signed by author on the title page, inscribed "For Nancy - Knowing all the best ones see things differently. best Jacki Lyden." A finely crafted memoir, by turns humorous and heartbreaking, from this longtime NPR correspondent. First printing, very good in a VG jacket. Book has water damage to the FFEP and first 30 or so pages are a bit wavy. Jacket has two closed tears and crease to lower front, but quite presentable in protective mylar.

A great first printing of this cookbook on entertaining from Beard-award-winning chef and cookbook author Rosengarten. Fine in a very near to fine jacket, suitable for a gift, no notable flaws other than very light shelfwear to jacket.

A near fine first edition of this 1970 National Book award winner by beloved storyteller Singer. Book itself does have an ex-libris sticker on front free endpaper, but is otherwise in wonderful condition. Brodart on request.

Text on the cover reads, "The interpretation of one race to another is a necessary task for the wrter today. This book cuts through the plaster facade of Mexico and shows you a living people." Hmmmm. Good in like jacket--pages browned, book leans, front and rear pastedowns are colorful scenes, but have some foxing.
