So the lettering on the spine now gives the appearance of being merely pressed into the material without much difference in color. Corners slightly bumped. Chicago: Chicago Chronicle, 1902. No Binding. Good/No Jacket. 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall. This the Sunday (July 13, 1902) illustrated supplement to the Chicago Chronicle. 11 inches x 16 1/2 inches. No binding. 14 pages. Text and illustrations are in excellent condition, but the Weekly has been folded over in half apparently since 1902 with the result that there is a crease across the center of all pages. This has led to 1/12 inch tear through all pages at both the left and right margins. So the document is rather fragile.

The purpose of the book, as stated i n the publisher's note, was simply to make a scare volume available to researchers in limited runs of 250 copies or less. This volume has no pagination of its own but proceeds by the original pagination as marked on the microformated pages. So the last page is 815 even though there are 250 or so physical pages. All illustrations, footnotes, appendicers, and tables are reproduced. Index is normal font.
