Pasted marbled endpapers, lacks free endpapers. The only marking to the book is on the rear blank page, upside down, and neatly penned "Benedicte Elisabeth / Sharffenstein / Anno 1771 l.5 Juillet." Pages, all edges stained red, are clean and supple with minimal foxing, excepting the title page and following leaf which are moderately stained along thumb edge. Last text page has a corner crease. (Any pages that appeared before the title page are no longer extant.) Cover is gilt-titled on spine. Spine and corner leather heavily worn and the paper covering is rubbed to almost nothing.
