To name but a few authors: Bazin, Bayle, Becquerel, Charcot, Fournier, Ch. Robin, Van Heurck, Velpeau, Wecker, etc. --(Partly stained).

Contemporary dark green half morocco (some minute rubbing and some occasional slight discolouring), In compartments gilt lettered and decorated. With 35 engraved (steel-engravings) plates.. Cahiers I-VI, all that have been published, and complete sets, like our's, are quite rare. Cahier II-VI in first edtitions, Cahier I in 3rd edition. The catalogue BM(NH) list only the 5th Cahier in 3rd edition; Not in Wood.--(Some scattered light foxing or brownings as usual for French books from this epoque; the Cahier V has a few pages with some light ink stains in the outer marging; lower corner of the rear side has a slight crack).

Chattanooga Co.,: Chattanooga,, 1908.. 32 pp. 8vo (13 x 19,5 cm.). Original printed wrappers (spine damaged). With numerous portraits. ¶ 27 Songs and testimonies. "Wine of Cardui" for Women and "Black-Draught"for all, became virtual folk remedies, and have remained so for almost a century. Wine of Cardui is an alcoholic nostrum sold as the "Woman's Tonic". It contained no wine but 20% alcohol per volume, a small amount of the extractives of Cardus benedictus and Viburnum prunifolium (both of non medical value).

Page 576 misnumbered 566.-- (Apart from some trifling imperfections, a very attractive copy from library of Monsieur Le Marquis de VICHY).

Altenburg,: Hofbuchdruckerei,, 1856.. xx, 239, [i] pp. 8vo (14 x 22,5 cm.). Original printed wrappers (dust soiled), uncut and unopened. In 1796, the Duce of Altenburg, Ernst II and his minister Thümmel ordered measures to improve the conditions of the poor, established health care for the poor, and a hospital was build (1802). The promising young Dr. Wilhelm Hagen became the first director of this charitable event. Unfortunately, his early dead in March 1800 abruptly ended his great devotion to poor relief. His library of 560 volumes was donated to the "Directorium des Armenwesens" as a gift for the hospital of Altenburg, and formed the basis for this interesting library, which counted in 1856 about 1600 titles. Only 5 copies in the WorldCat, chiefly in German libraries.

"With one or more of these formulas, a profitable business can be established. Several nation-wide concerns had their beginning in the home kitchen less than 10 years ago, and fortunes were made".

With numerous coloured illustrations on 128 plates. ** A French issue of the 1968 catalogue for this classic toy and reliable scale models of cars and other vehicles. A clean inner copy.

A fine copy, profusely illustrated: 96 figured of rifles and sporting guns, 32 figures of revolvers and 2 others. The Liége area, through the history, is renown for there many master armourers and gunsmiths, but except for the FN factory, they are disappeared. The MLA (1866-1929) wastt The only manufactory that produce hunting rifles with barrels marked “Acier universel”.

Many of the items are "introuvable" today. Rosenthal was one of the great British antiquarian booksellers of the past.

Original dark blue buckram (spine very slightly spickled). ¶ A very good and complete set of this monumental reference source, being an author/title catalogue of one of the world's finest collections of natural history books. There are over 100,000 entries, including many with analytical and descriptive notes and information regarding the illustrations. An indispensable reference work, for long time out of print now.

The Thomas company is in business since 1900.

De Stijl was a Dutch artistic avant-garde mouvement, founded in 1917 by Theo van Doeburg. The other pricipal members were Piet Mondriaan. Vilmos Huzár, Bart van de Leck, Gerrit Rietveld, Robert van 't Hoff and J.J.P. Oud. The artistic philosophy is known as "neoplasticism".
