This is the complete run of the monthly magazine, bound into a handsome set. The magazine grew out of The Overland Monthly, and after its two-year run reverted to that title again. Contributors of note include Joaquin Miller, Ambrose Bierce, John Muir, Josiah Royce, Joseph LeConte, Charles Edwin Markham, Yda Hillis Addis, Katharine Lee Bates, Kate Douglas Wiggin and Ina Coolbrith.

Red cloth with gilt titling and illustration. A collection of anti-New Deal cartoons that Johnson created for the Saturday Evening Post. Heavy foxing to endpapers. Soiling and rubbing to boards. No jacket. Both Johnson and Harding were regular contributors to the Saturday Evening Post. Harding also worked as a combat artist in both World Wars and created murals for the US Post Office in Washington, DC.
