First edition of this nicely printed exhibition catalogue for the “first showing of family-owned works by the well known Northwest artist.” Price was a pioneering American expressionist, who drew upon his experiences traveling by covered wagon to Wyoming, and homesteading in Alberta, Canada. Portland Art Museum held his first retrospective exhibition in 1942, and these included a number of his WPA projects, including some proposed for Timberline Lodge, Multnomah County Library, and others.

Camp Heppner, Morrow County, OR: Civilian Conservation Corps, CCC, Nov. 7, 1940. One large oblong panoramic silver gelatin photo 19.75 x 12 in., w/ 5 inset images - 3 sized 3 x 6 in., 2 panoramic sized 3.75 x 19 in. (creasing, soiling, chipping to upper fore-edges, some curling), still a good image w/ strong bright contrast. A very scarce image of the CCC Camp Heppner established in 1935 near the Morrow County Fairgrounds, with several companies working on Soil Conservation Service projects in concert with local ranchers. Originally the camp was only to operate for two years, but proved so successful and popular for locals, that the CCC companies completed a diversion channel on Ditch Creek for local farmers, straightened and widened Willow Creek’s flow through town, which was the first serious flood control work in the town in three decades after the catastrophic 1903 flood. Self-printed colour-illustrated softcovers, slight shelfwear, and very slight toning, NF copy. First edition of this very scarce dealer’s brochure & poster for the 1955 Cadillac Series 60 models which after 1954 featured lower sleeker bodies, new grille inserts, and inverted gull wing front bumpers and tapered bumper guards. The 1955 featured a redesigned grille, new rub-rail moldings, Florentine curve rear window, and the Coupe de Ville featuring a golden script nameplate. The Cadillac Eldorado sport convertible featured wide chrome belt trim, new rear fender design, and twin round taillights halfway up the fenders. No copies located in Worldcat.
