First edition thus, octavo; 736, [24]pp. In contemporary half leather over marbled boards (worn, crudely rebacked in old leather with early hand written paper spine label, font hinge broken), occasional spotting and browning, pp375-9 torn with loss of a few words, with extra engraved title page and 27 full page topographical engravings. Good copy of these early well illustrated topographical accounts forming volume 5 of Britton and Brayley's Beauties of England and Wales series.

First edition thus, 8vo; iv, 250pp. In contemporary mid-eighteenth century full leather (lightly worn), five raised spine bands between gilt double fillets, gilt-lettered red leather spine label to second compartment, remaining compartments gilt stamped with circular motifs, lacks front free endpaper, leaves A2-A3 protruding slightly with consequent wear to fore-ege but still well bound in, marginal crease to lower corner of final leaf, overall a very good well margined copy of this finely printed volume.
