Finely printed in Koch Fette Deutsche Schrift on Deutschem japanpapier in blue and black in a total edition of 350 copies. This copy being 'Verlagsexamplar' (publishers copy) same as the 300 copies edition..Overall size c.10.1/4 x 7.3/8 inches. c.26 x 19 cm. pps. 40.Although undated, as the 5th. publication of Phaiden Druck, it would appear to be around the first year of the founding of the Phaiden verlag in 1923. Base of spine a little rubbed o/w a near fine copy.

Publishers binding c.9.1/4 x 12.1/2 inches. Coloured 1/2 title and title page plus 24 full page coloured plates by F.D.Bedford all in very good condition. Slight wear to edges and corners and slight soiling to covers. Front end-paper creased o/w a very good tight copy internally excellent. Scarce in this condition for a first edition published in 1899.

Printed at the Grabhorn Press in a large paper edition of 30 copies in red and black. Overall size c.9.1/2 x 6.1/2 inches. Small chip to spine title label o/w a near fine copy. Scarce.
