All sheets laid into the card folder which was printed to hold the facsimile sheets. Though not marked as such, from the library of Gerrit Lansing. An unusual state, which matches most points of the Subscriber's edition, which had been limited to 250 copies. However, this copy is not bound in orange paper boards, as usually found, but instead consists of loose sheets laid into a folder which bears the same printed cover as that used to hold the smaller facsimile sheets. Illustrated with a tipped-in calendar sheet printed on glassine, and horological diagrams. One of a limited edition of 250 numbered copies. Text in Dutch. First and only issue of this brilliant conceptual art periodical, which in this installment had two parts - the first concerned with a proposal to start with year zero at the milennium, and the second dealt with time, workplaces and boredom. Near fine with some light toning to margins of wraps.

New York: James A. Carr & Robert A. Wilson, 1964. First trade edition. 8vo, 72 pp, bound in gilt-stamped blue cloth. Lacking the unprinted glassine jacket. With a wine label laid in. This copy is inscribed by Wieners to Dave Haselwood on page 23, with the printed label from a bottle of Paul MAsson Rhine Castle wine carefully removed and laid in. The inscription occurs directly below the brief and enigmatic poem "The Pool of Light" - "A shimmering fern leaf, 2 upraised em-/ blems of gold / lift an instant, trem-/ blings revolved. / O Switzerland, O Schon castle, o land across / the Rhine." The label is bracked by embossed gold emblems above a pastoral view of the castle. We'd always been puzzled by this wistful but beautiful poem, but the presence of the label makes us think that the poem is a meditation on this label or one like it. New York: James A. Carr & Robert A. Wilson, 1964. First edition. 8vo, 72pp, printed on watermarked paper and bound in leatherette stamped in gilt at the spine; yellow silk bookmark sewn in. In the original unprinted glassine wrapper. One of 12 presentation copies, with a holograph poem bound in, signed by Wieners and both publishers. With a tls from Robert Wilson also laid in. The manuscript page has the poem "Two Years Later" written out in Wiener's hand and bound in. This poem is the concluding poem of the book on page 71 of the printed text, and in this copy the lower right hand corner of the page is burnt away. The letter from Wilson is written "to certify that the small cigarette burn in the lower right corner of page 71 of Ace of Pentacles is ‘Auhtorial' i.e. caused by John Wieners when signing the twelve presentation copies." London: Neville Spearman, 1972. First edition. 8vo, 285 pp, bound in brown boards titled in gilt at the spine. Includes index. A sturdy, near fine copy in a very good, price-clipped dust jacket a bit rubbed at extremities with a couple of closed tears.

Bruxelles and Paris: Amenophis, 1970. First edition. Two large posters, the first 17 1/4 x 27", the second 17 x 24", printed in red and blue, respectively, both housed in a silkscreened folder. A gorgeous issue of the Belgian avant-garde periodical. Posters fine; folder near fine with toning and creasing to extremities.

Münster [actually Berlin]: Aurin Verlang, 1987. 16mo, 78 [2] pp, perfect bound in illustrated wraps. Text in German. Prints the title work by Benjamin as well as his essay on Lebel, and Werner Fuld's essay Die Aura. This little book concludes by reprinting item no. 4 item with a reset title page and the addition of footnotes. Edited by "Detlef Holz", and likely connected with the raubdruck of Passagen-Werk which was issued under the same name. References: von Olenhusen, Der Weg ... 15. Not in Brodersen. Near fine with some light foxing to the wraps.

Paris: Hachette, 1990. First edition. 8vo, 664 pp, publisher's wraps. Association copy, inscribed by Thom to Gérard Jorland; "A Gérard Jorland, au moins une dédicace... Avec mes meilleurs souvenirs de sa collaboration." A superb association between the founder of Catastrophe Theory and a prominent historian of science. Books inscribed by Thom are rarely encountered in the market. The importance of Thom's work is widely acknowledged in the sciences, but his work also was an important influence on music and the arts - for instance, his work was an influence on John Balance, particularly on the first Coil album. Lower tip lightly bumped throughout, some minor toning else near fine.

The catalog for the 1971 exhibition at Galerie Onnasch in Cologne, including texts by Lawrence Alloway (in English) and G. Bussman (in German). Superb catalog. Some faint toning to wraps else fine.

Outer leaves rather darmpstained, but complete legible. Interior leaves clean, with a very clear hand throughout. Manuscript on watermarked paper.m The 29 recipies including those for "silvering" brass, japanning, "cement" (aka glue) "useful for Turners" and broken pots and glasses. Of specialnote are two color related recipies, including one for "making a glare of Eggs," and a for wood varnishes in red, blue, yellow, green, and black.

Philadelphia: David McKay, 1929. First American edition. 8vo, 32 pp, bound in purple ribbed and blind-ruled cloth titled in gilt at the spine. In the original pictorial dust jacket, printed in green and black on heavy cream paper. Illustrated with black and white drawings. The first American edition of this translation of Le Tarot Astrologique, first published in 1927. This translation was first published in London by Rider in 1928. The illustrations, though not credited here, are based upon the remarkable designs of Henri Armengol, though printed here as black and white line drawings instead of the full color illustrations of the French edition. Though published by a major American publisher, the American edition is scarcer than the first British edition. OCLC locates only two holdings. This copy has a superb example of the original dust jacket, by far the nicest we've seen. Fine in a dust jacket that shows some faint traces of soiling to the back panel, and a touch of fraying to the tips else fine.

Paris: Editions Polyglottes, 1956. First edition. 8vo, [4] pp, single sheet printed in two colors and folded once. Illustrated with a reproduction of portrait of Trotsky by Annenkoff. Surrealist broadside issued to denounce the Stalinist betrayal of Trotsky and the French communists. The recto is beautifully designed with a text border printed in red surround the text, which prints the entirety of Eluard's poem "Joseph Staline" at the center. The manifesto bears the printed signatures of Anne Bedouin, Robert Benayoun, Andre Breton, Jacques B. Brunius, Adrien Dax, Yves Elleouet, Charles Flamand, Louis Janover, Gerard Legrand, Nora Mitrani, Benjamin Peret, Jose Pierre, Andre Pieyre de Mandiargues, Jacques Sautes, and Jean Schuster. Very good, with a small stain to lower margin, light creasing, and a short closed tear at foot of center fold.

Industrial and avant-garde comp featuring Savage Republic, Schlafengarten, HAters, Sleepless Knights, Dreamhouse, The Psychological Warfare Brank, Theatre of Ice, Smersh, Girls on Fire, F/i, Chris Gross, Abstact Belief, and Youth Hostel. Great comp. Casette visually nm, spot play tested and plays fine. Insert vg++ with a touch of the usual fading. Snapcase scuffed. Zine fine. Scarce with the zine.

Austin: Austin Vanguard, 1977. 4to, tabloid format, single sheet of newsprint folded once; offset printed in two colors. The first and only issue of one of the first, if not the first, punk fanzine published in the state of Texas. No attribution is given, but the zine is believed to be the work of Nick West, who would go on to edit Sluggo, one of the greatest art zines of the late 70's. The phrase "Someday All the Adults Will Die" emblazoned on the cover summed up many of the beautiful contradictions of early American punk. folded once, with some minor toning else fine.
