Includes 4 bound volumes, 1794-1796: Acts Passed at the First Session of the Third Congress of the United States of America (1794), Acts Passed at the Second Session of the Third Congress...(1794), Acts Passed at the First Session of the Fourth Congress...(1795), Acts Passed at the Second Session of the Fourth Congress...(1796), and a lengthy Index to the Laws. While binding is tight, leather boards are rubbed, scuffed and bent; the back board is loose, but secure; hinge is cracked. Text block is soiled. The first few pages, up to and presumably including the Primary title page are missing. The lower 1/4 of the first title page is missing. All other pages are present and easily readable, albeit with rubbing and chipping to edges and corners, soiling and foxing to pages and text block, appropriate for its age and apparent use. Boards have bumping to edges, corners and ends of spine, scuffing and previous library number to spine, and soiling to lower edge of rear board. Binding is tight and square.
