OCLC locates two copies (Historic New Orleans Collection, American Antiquarian Society). Manuscript corrections to text and corresponding index entry in pencil, title in ink manuscript on spine. Still a very good copy. Original gilt-stamped brown cloth. (#5496).

Kansas City, MO, Nov. 1st, [18]97. Three items. Broadside. Single leaf, printed on both sides, measuring 9 1/2 x 12 in. Advertising circular, with illustrated letterhead, stating types of lumber available, sizes & prices, and terms. Outline drawings of roofing & flooring shapes printed on verso. A few short tears along one side of circular, only slightly affecting text. Small illustrated ad circular, printed on one side only, advertising Red Cedar Shingles in Transit. Also Cypress Shingles & Fence Lath. Illustration is of a smiling gentleman in top hat & mutton chop whiskers, with a pocket watch, noting the "Best Time is made by ordering your Shingles, Lath, Etc., from Bushnell." Small company envelope also present. The three pieces.

Baltimore: J. Davis & Co, 1862. 21 cm. 7pp. Sewn (thread broken), disbound. Printed beige paper wrappers. Caustic verse on the military control of Baltimore by the Union armies. On pages 6-7 is "Reply to the Volunteer Zouave," by a Baltimore Lady. The zouaves were noted for their French style of dress. OCLC: LOC, Boston Pub. Several editions followed this, published by Waters.

[Philadelphia, PA?]: Privately printed for the authors, 1935. First edition, 1/300 copies. Small 8vo. (6), 61 pp. Illustrated from photographs, maps, table showing the party's salmon catch. Account of a salmon fishing trip to Anticosti Island in the Gulf of St. Lawrence, taken by five anglers from Philadelphia; in ten days fishing they took 131 salmon. A daily account of the groups activities. Bruns L- 74: "Not seen." OCLC locates six copies (Denver, Northwestern, New Hampshire, Toledo, College of Charleston, New York Historical Society). Very good. Original green cloth-backed printed boards, publisher's spider-web glassine dust jacket. (#7837).

McAlester, Oklahoma, 1915. Broadsheet. 11 x 8 1/2in. Old fold lines, and a small smudge or two, else very good. Advertising a plat of land, 80 acres of Oklahoma Ranch and Timber land at $3 per acre in Latimer County, "about 4 miles west of Bengal, Okla., on the Frisco Railroad." The property was located near coal fields and a gas well. The Ringlands were immigration agents for the Wabash and the Missouri, Kansas and Texas railroads.

Spine ends and corners worn, cloth moderately soiled and flecked. Prev. owner's name on a sticker on front endpaper. The author a lawyer states the design of the book is to point out our fundamental law with historic facts illustrating the workings of our governmental system.

Two volumes. 22 cm. frontis. portrait, vi, 387 pp., folding map in pocket (a few separations at folds); frontis. portrait, vi, 373 pp. White cloth spine with gray paper boards. Paper labels on spines. Spines are a bit soiled with some rubbing, slight foxing to endpapers.

Prints information for county officials on collection of taxes for use in road work, exemptions from those taxes, and outlines duties of road commissioners and overseers. Not in Hummel. Not recorded on OCLC. Folded, some browning, but a very good untrimmed copy.

Two corners torn off (likely taking a signature), affecting two or three letters. Some wrinkling. Browned. Kress B.5950. Relative to the Non-Importation Act of the U.S., with an Appendix on manufactures of the U.S., with special attention to the cotton manufactories within 30 miles of Providence, R.I., including those in Connecticut and Massachusetts.

Slip of lined paper, 1 3/4 x 5 1/2 inches, on which the general has written "At your request I subjoin my autograph / Respectfully, / S.B. Buckner." Vertical crease, not touching text, very good.

Single sheet of letterhead stationery, dated 30 October 1992, and signed by the former first lady. The short note also says she will be unable to attend the celebration due to a previous commitment at the Carter Center. Frankie Hewitt was instrumental in the renovation of Ford's Theater. Folded for mailing, with accompanying envelope.

Oblong 8vo (5 5/8 x 7 ¾ inches). 52 pp., nine pages of text and 43 captioned full-page photographs of the accident and its clean-up. OCLC locates two copies (Kentucky, SMU). Original tan wrappers (rubbed and worn) printed in red; some storage soiling, still a good copy.

A very good copy. The photos are of the hotel, its playground, and environs. Recommended sites are the glass bottom boats of Silver Springs, the Ross Allen Reptile Institute, the Seminole Indian Village, etc. No listings on OCLC.

Nashville, TN: Printed at the ‘Union and American' Book and Job Rooms, 1872. One of two 1872 printings. 8vo. 37 pp. The author was the bank's chief cashier who tries to deflect blame for the institution's financial problems arising from the Civil War and its aftermath. Allen Imprints 7866. Rather uncommon, OCLC locates 12 copies of this printing (four of the other printing). Original printed purple wrappers (some storage soiling, old stain at rear wrapper upper edge). Still a very good copy.

Single sheet, 19 x 19 cm., neatly backed with Japanese paper on verso. Line item record, in manuscript, of expenditures for Mr. Bosman, Coroner; Sessions Grand Jury for 1713, 1714, & [1715]; Grand Jury 1714 [& 1715]; William Patten, Sundry Orders; Saml. Long, Sundry Orders; Abiel Hovey due; [etc.], for a total of just over 101 pounds. Computed and signed by the Treasurer of the County, Daniel Russell. Some old staining along top edge, else very good. Daniel Russell (1685-1763) was a Councillor and Commissioner in Middlesex Co., Massachusetts, as well as its Treasurer for over fifty years.

These accounts of Brigham Young's as Indian commissioner in Utah from 1856-1861 include the period of the Utah War, when Young was an agent of the U.S. government and at war with it.
