Description:
Claude Colombet: Abrege de la Jurisprudence Romaine. 1671, published by: Theodore Girard24x18cm. Cover: brown leather hardcover, spine with 5 raised bands with gilt lettering (IVRISPRVD ROMAINE) and ornaments, top chipped. Joints firm with creasing, front joint top with a crack to the first band, back with a crack to the bottom band. Corners worn and bent, shelfwear to edges. Text block: front paste down chipped, free end paper missing, both hinges firm, binding excellent. Pages with tanning and foxing usual to 350-year old volumes. Front title page with heavy discolouration and little stain (ink?) near the front edge, no other stains, some edges dog-eared, no other visual damages and no missing pages. Book with wide margins used for extra printed publisher's comments. 514 pages + index in 'Middle French'.Dimensions: 8vo. 514 pages.Language: French, Middle (ca. 1400-1600)Condition: GOOD (please check images)
