New York: Grosset & Dunlap, 1964. Hardcover. Good. 8 1/4 x 9 1/4. Harry Rosenbaum. For ages up to 7". The end pages and the plastic covered boards show slight soiling. The plastic coating on the front of the spine at the top is beginning to peel.

New York: Grosset & Dunlap, 1914. Hardcover. Good/Good. 5 1/2 x 8. 503 clean unmarked pages with a slight amount of age toning. The red cloth boards are not bumped but the front has a couple light spots. The dust jacket has some chips and creased, mostly at the top of the spine and on the bottom edge. This book is GOOD+ with a GOOD MINUS jacket.

New York: The Literary Guild, 1935. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Near Fine/Good. 6 1/4 x 8 3/4. 485 pages. The only flaw with this book is an age toning to the pastedowns and page edges. The dust jacket, now in a new Brodart cover, has some edge chipping and tears.

New York : Grosset & Dunlap, 1927. Hardcover. Good. Clean unmarked pages that show some even age toning. Red boards lost their luster in some places, lightly bumped and rubbed. Front paper hinge breaking but holding.

New York: W. W. Norton & Company, 1941. Hardcover. Fine/Very Good. 5 1/2 x 8 1/4. 264 pages. This book has only one flaw; a slight age toning to the paper. The dust jacket, now in a new Brodart, has some edge wear. Not price clipped ($2.50).

Milton, PA - Philadelphia, PA: Weidenhamer & Company, 1920. Hardcover. Good. 5 1/4 x 7 1/4. 261 pages; neat owner's signature but erased on front end page. Little markings throughout book. Pages have slight age tone, but more so on page edges. Green boards have rubbing and fraying as well as soiling, showing moderate age wear (see photos for more details). Spine has fraying of cloth on edges, with some of board showing. GOOD MINUS.

London - Glasgow: Collins' Clear-Type Press. Hardcover. Good. 4 1/4 x 6 1/4. Illustrated. 732 pages + 4 of ads for other "Collins' Illustrated Pocket Classics." There is an old sticker covering a previous owners name on the half title page. Tiny paper flaw on title page and frontispiece. The red boards are not bumped or rubbed but the spine top has two small frayed spots and the color of the spine is somewhat dark. Not dated but about 1910 or so. GOOD++

New York : Globe Book Company, 1953. Hardcover. Fair. 5 3/4 x 8. 298 pages. A few lower page margins have some damage (bending) that only affects about a quarter inch from the border. The pastedowns have some writing. The corners are bumped and rubbed. Nice illustrations including photos and artwork. READING COPY

London - Edinburgh - New York: Thomas Nelson & Sons. Hardcover. Good. 4 1/4 x 6 1/4. 577 unmarked pages. Top edge gilt. Slight age toning. Frontispiece with tissue. Blue leather boards shows some loss of surface blue leather at the corners and top of spine. Not dated but about 1920?

476 pages + 8 of ads; unmarked. Pages slightly age toned. Top page edge stained dark. Red cloth boards have a sun faded spine. GOOD+++

New York: Hurst & Co., 1889. Soft cover. Fair. 5 x 7 1/2. Salmon colored paper coverings labeled "No. 23 The Cosmopolitan Series Aug. 22, 1889". All pages very dark. 198 pages for Ivanhoe + 190 pages for Kenilworth + 15 pages of ads. The last 35 or so pages have some rodent nibbles to their tops (see photos) but the text of the book is missing less than 10 words. This book is rated FAIR +.

Philadelphia - London: J. B. Lippincott Company, 1913. Hardcover. Very Good/Good. 5 1/4 x 7 1/4. 275 p0ages including the index. The blue boards show almost no wear but have a small light colored area. Neat owners signature dated January 1914. Some age toned page edges. The dust jacket has a dark spine with some dark areas on the margins of the front and a reddish stain to the edge of the rear. Some edge wear. Copyright 1907 and 1908; stated 15th printing Dec 1913.

The boards are not attached to any of the pages. May be used for parts at this price. Two pages in the text area are loose but present. The page edges are very dark. From the other books with photos, this appears to be the 1913 edition of Penn Publishing.
