Description:
Boston: Little, Brown & Company, 1948. First Edition, First Printing. cloth. Near Fine/Very good+. A handsome First Edition of this charming Waugh book, complete with the original dustjacket. The interior of the book is exceptionally clean and bright although the front cloth covers show some fading. A likely association copy; the title page has the name "Stephen Longstreet/ix (?) '48," possible association copy belonging to artist and author Stephen Longstreet (1907-2002). The dustjacket is complete with the original price ($2.50). The ends of the spine are reinforced with brown tape (not visible from the front) which may repair a small cut on the bottom end but not for sure since the dustjacket shows no other wear. There is some darkening, especially on the creases and spine. But overall a solid First Edition with a possible association name.
