This reprint is undated, but research indicates it was issued in 1998; the original Lyons and Burford edition was issued in 1991. White would later draw on this material in writing his Doc Ford stories. This copy has mild edgewear with slight corner bumps but no spine crease. A clean, tight copy. Mild edgewear, rubbing and soil; spine sunned to light brown with fading to the lettering. Those familiar with this Loring binding, Alger collectors in particular, will realize this color is rarely found with the spine lettering legible. The spine is faded but still legible. Former owner's name and date (12-14-1864) neatly in ink to the front endpaper, otherwise unmarked. Only very scattered foxing to the text. Hinges solid. A clean, tight copy.

Bound in black cloth with spine titles stamped in silver. No additional printings, indicating the first edition. Inscribed and signed by the author on the front free endpaper, otherwise unmarked. The cloth has a faint fade line 1/8" wide along the lower margin of the front cover; no other flaws. The dust wrapper shows a faint tidemark 1" wide to the lower edge of the rear panel as the only flaw; no rips, chips or clips. The book was not affected. A clean, tight copy with the jacket now in mylar.

A study of Bryan's ideas and reforms that have taken hold with his political opponents and the American people. Author was a fellow Nebraskan. Slight pencil markings from a bookseller to the front endpaper, otherwise fine in a good dust wrapper with a chip at the upper front fold that has been taped (clear), another piece of tape across the head of the spine on the verso and light soil. Nice photo of Bryan on the front panel of the jacket. All text clean and unmarked; jacket in mylar. Uncommon title.

Bookplate of Norwegian-American collector Herman Gimmestad to the front pastedown. We did not find any marks or writing in the text, whcih remains in very good condition, with no toning or foxing present. The covers show considerable edgewear and rubbing, but the spine lettering is still quite bright. Hinges solid; binding square. A clean, tight copy. Uncommon. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall
