Yet another ambitious effort to remove money from the pockets of honest Americans. Much of this marketing matter is aimed at women who becomes ill from "feminine trouble" or suffer from the "diseases of women" -one considered by Dr. Pierce's to be infertility, which he quite shamelessly declares he can cure. The usual desired results for ailments of all kinds are given and a host of other textual variety is found within, i.e., from guaranteed aids for cleaning your kidneys to recipes for cleaning your house. The inside front cover shows a poor woman trapped inside of a tubular metal cage upon a bed, a "Condensation Couch for Auto-Induction Treatment" -only to be found at Dr. Pierce's Invalids' Hotel. Publisher's coupon, emulating scrip laid in.

New York. 1973. Yellow sheet folded once to form a 3-page program. An advertisement to join the theater club and printing local business ads is inserted. Very good. The New York Times described the event thus: "Women will be whooping it up tonight at 9 in the Manhattan Theater Club, 321 East 73d Street, between First and Second Avenues (BU 8.5000), in an evening of songs composed and sung by women. It's called "A Circle of Sound" and it's full of Broadway show tunes, ballads and contemporary songs, including a few of a peppery political kind. The songs are written mostly by the performers, who include Nancy Ford and Gretchen Cryer ("The Last Sweet Days of Isaac" and "Shelter"), Zenobia Conkerite, Carole Horne, Paula Larke, Terry Molina and Dale Soules. The club has 100 seats, and they all go for $3. Betty Buckley, who plays Catherine in the musical hit "Pippin," will have to dash uptown after taking her bows in the Imperial Theater; she will sing "I Just Sit Easy" and "If I Remember You Right" to her… Read More
