New York: William Morrow And Co., 1955. Bound in the publishers original dark green marbled hard cover with lime green cloth to spine, red and black title lettering to spine. The 341 pages remain in excellent condition with one neat ownership inscription to endpaper, otherwise clean and fresh throughout. Binding is square and tight with no blemishes or fading to boards. Housed in the distinctive dustwrapper which has very slight wear to edges and still retains publishers original printed price of $3.95 to the top of the front inside panel. The dustwrapper is designed by Robert J. Lee and depicts an excellent African jungle scene to the front which remains vivid and bright. Back inside flap has closed tear that has been repaired with tape but due to position this remains discreet and not visible when book is closed.
